This department puts a basic aim on improving the level of general knowledge and culture about society by studying and acquiring the overall history of men, including Korea, Oriental and Occidental history in association with the present. Also it has the object of fostering the talented leaders to guide our society in future by having the correct discrimination on the present and the future prospect through the study of history.
History of Department
The department of History Education was established in 1980, named the department of Social Education. In 1982. The department of History Education was detatched from the department of Social Education. The department has about 80 students in undergraduate course and 16 students in the graduate course. Our faculty members are composed of 5 professors and 1 associate professor, who make studies enthusiastically in their special fields.
Character of Department
The department of History Education has been designed for students to research and study Koera history, Asian history, Western history and Subjects education. The objective of all curriculum is to establish historical views, illuminate proper history, and train as for history education through scientific methodology, analysis and critique of historical meterials from ancient to contemporary history.
